Today’s post is a short but important one to make a few announcements regarding future plans for both myself and my content.

First, I wanted to announce my latest project, titled Tuatha dé Danann is my new series of short, interconnected stories to be released in an episodic format. Tuatha dé Danann tells the story of an organization dedicated to finding and eliminating dangerous extra-dimensional monsters that live among us. Here is the detailed blurb for the series:

Set in modern day Boston, Tuatha dé Danann is the story of Seth Cullen, an immortal hero who has been on the front lines of an inter-dimensional invasion for more than two millennia. Along side a team of superhuman individuals know as the Aes Sídhe, Seth is all that stands in between our world and complete annihilation.

Tuatha dé Danann is an incredibly important story to me. When my mother passed away, I used my writing as a coping tool for my grief and the story that emerged is what set the bases for Tuatha dé Danann. I’ve spoken before about how much of a mess that story was so I am incredibly excited to revisit it and give that concept the much needed time and effort that it deserves. I truly hope that when I release the first Episode at the end of September that you can see the passion I have for this project.

This leads into my next announcement, which is that I will be joining Patreon in the near future. For those that are unaware, Patreon is a platform for creators to control some of their income by offering subscriptions to their targeted audience. While I love to write, currently it is costing me far more money than it brings in. Between owning the domain for my website and the software subscriptions that I need for my writing and design work, I am currently spending a fair amount monthly to pursue my dream of writing full-time.

This is where Patreon comes in. Through Patreon I will offer a variety of subscription options. I don’t know exactly what my subscriptions will look like but I would like to assure those of you that read my work that there will be nothing locked behind a Patreon subscription. My initial plan is to give Patreon subscribers acknowledgment and early access to Tuatha dé Danann Episodes and other short stories. I am looking into all the details now and hope to have more news on this in the near future.

The last piece of news is by far the most exciting for me. If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you probably already know this, but for everyone else I am incredibly excited to announce that I was accepted into Southern New Hampshire University’s Master of Fine Arts in Fiction program and will begin in January!

I began looking into pursuing my Master’s degree earlier in the summer as I felt that my writing, while vastly improved, was still lacking some much needed polish. As I began looking into programs, I found that my alma mater SNHU offered a highly regarded program specifically for creative writers. I applied and sent in some of my writing and a few days later received an email inviting me to join the program. It is my hope that over the course of the program that I will be able to hone my writing skills and begin releasing work of a quality that I can be exceptionally proud of.

That’s all the big news for today! Keep an eye out for more information about Patreon and for the first episode of Tuatha dé Danann to drop near the end of the month! Thank you all for all your support and I look forward to continuing my writing journey with all of you!
